Privacy Policy for Stem Game

1. Overview

Digital Outpost, LLC. ("we," "us," or "our") provides Stem Game, also displayed as Stem Blast, an educational game for learners in kindergarten through 12th grade. This policy explains the information processed when you use the website or Android app. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

2. Information We Process

• Google account information: When you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
• Learning and gameplay data: We process grade, subject, difficulty, scores, coins, streaks, answers, practice activity, missed questions, and related progress. Progress is stored on your device and, when cloud synchronization is enabled, in our Supabase database under your email address.
• Age-group setting: We store whether the user selected under 13 or 13 and older so that we can apply child-directed advertising treatment and age-appropriate settings. We do not request a birth date.
• Feedback and support: If you contact us, we process the name, contact details, topic, message, gameplay context, timestamp, and device user-agent information you submit.
• Diagnostics: To identify crashes and errors, we may process an error message, technical stack information, page URL, browser or device user agent, a random session identifier, and timestamp.
• Subscription information: Stripe processes payment details for subscriptions purchased on the website. Google Play Billing processes subscriptions purchased in the Android app distributed through Google Play. We receive subscription status, customer email or account identifiers, and related transaction information, but we do not receive full payment-card numbers.
• Advertising and analytics: The free service uses Google AdMob or Google AdSense, and the website uses Vercel Analytics. These providers may process device, usage, advertising, and approximate location information according to their policies and the consent or child-directed settings that apply.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide sign-in, gameplay, cloud progress synchronization, leaderboards, and parent-facing learning reports.
• Remember settings and personalize the learning experience.
• Manage premium access and subscriptions.
• Provide support, process feedback, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• Display and measure ads in the free version using age-appropriate configurations.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

4. Children and Families

Stem Game includes children in its intended audience. Users select an age group after sign-in. For users identified as under 13, Android ad requests are configured for child-directed treatment and a maximum general-audience ad-content rating. We do not use children's information for personalized advertising. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of Google sign-in, support forms, subscriptions, and email reports.

5. Service Providers and Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as needed to service providers that operate the game, including Google for authentication, advertising, and Google Play Billing, Supabase for cloud data storage, Vercel for hosting and analytics, Stripe for website payments, and Resend for transactional and support email. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or in connection with a business transfer.

6. Storage and Retention

Gameplay settings and progress may remain in browser or app storage until they are cleared. Cloud learning profiles are retained while the account is active. Feedback, support, security, and diagnostic records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, safety, and service improvement. Payment providers may retain transaction records to meet financial and legal obligations.

7. Your Choices and Account Deletion

You can clear local app data through your browser or Android settings. You can request deletion from the account controls inside Stem Game or through our public account deletion page. We send a confirmation link to the Google email associated with the account before deleting the cloud learning profile and identifiable feedback associated with that email.

Deleting a Stem Game account does not delete the underlying Google account and does not automatically cancel an active Stripe or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled separately through the service where they were purchased. Some payment, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records may be retained where required or permitted by law.

8. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
